On the Move--Mayflower Transit Agent Newsletter,
April 2008
"Hampden Moving & Storage Co., Abingdon, Md.--Just one word to
describe our experience: phenomenal. Debbie Kilby
clearly explained what was required to prepare for the
move, was extremely pleasant, and we enjoyed our meeting.
Jackie was phenomenal and extremely compassionate throughout
the process. The moving crew-- Moe, Leon, and Melvin,--were tremendous, extremely pleasant and very professional. On
the day of--on the move from our previous house, Bill
McMahon from Quality Control arrived to see how things were
going. He was extremely pleasant and made sure we were happy
with the moving process. Hampden Moving & Storage’s process,
customer focus and compassion is a benchmark other moving
companies should model after. Hampden will always receive
our highest recommendation."

U.S. Military Honors
Hampden
Hampden Moving & Storage,
Inc., has been honored with the U.S. military’s prestigious
“Green Arrow Award.” This honor, granted
to the top transportation service providers, recognizes
outstanding service and performance in the Non-Temporary
storage program, evaluating moving companies on inspection
reports, claims, complaints, suspensions, and overall
quality of service. Hampden Vice President Dan Shanahan
commented: “Hampden is very pleased to receive The Green
Arrow Award, which represents our continued commitment to
excellence and serving our customers. To be recognized as a
leading service provider among hundreds of moving companies
across 19 states is indeed a great honor. We would like to
commend the military's Regional Storage Management Office
for having such a program that awards those transportation
providers who bring best practices to their everyday
operations.”
Hampden Partners with Habitat for
Humanity
On Tuesday, March 20,
2007, Hampden volunteered its
signature “Red Carpet” service to help move the Habitat for
Humanity warehouse from Baltimore to their new home in
Edgewood, Harford County, Maryland. The contents of the
warehouse included items donated to the Chesapeake chapter
of Habitat. These items will be sold out the new Edgewood
warehouse and the proceeds will be used to initiate a
“ReStore” facility for the Chesapeake and Harford Habitat
chapters. The ReStore facility will provide an ongoing
source of income for these two chapters of Habitat for
Humanity. The proceeds of the sales at the ReStore will
then be used to further support home building projects for
Habitat for Humanity. Hampden teamed up with Habitat over
a year ago and has been pleased to donate trucks, equipment
and strong workers to help bring families in need one-step
closer to their dreams of moving into their own homes.
Hampden KId
Appearances
The Hampden Kid is alive and well at Hampden Moving & Storage.
He is out and about in the community. You may see the Hampden Kid
at a Navy Football game or a function at Iron Birds Stadium or
Oriole Park. He may even be visiting an elementary school or a
county fair. In fact, many people have requested the Hampden Kid
Mascot to visit a corporate function or a even special birthday party.
